Jaws 5 – The Waiting…
Jaws 5 will be the fifth installment of the Jaws franchise which is currently made up of Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3 and Jaws: The Revenge. While there is currently no data set for the release of Jaws 5, and production has not commenced, rumors abound that there will be a fifth installment done in the near future.
It only makes sense that Jaws 5 will be made. With the current trend of relaunching major series like we’ve seen with Indiana Jones, Batman, Star Wars, Star Trek and more, a franchise with a fanbase as big as Jaws is a lock to be revived. Add to that successful shark movies like Deep Blue Sea and Open Water, it’s only a matter of time before we hear that trademark “dun-dun” in the theatres once again.
The question is, who will be cast, will Richard Dreyfus resume his role as Matt Hooper, just much older? Will there be a group of Great Whites this time rather than just one (this has been rumored for a long time). All these questions and more will be answered on this site as the info becomes available.
